I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!

what am i grateful for?

My family

long weekends away

peace and tranquility

good health

I think these pictures pretty much sum it up.  Last weekend we spent it at my in-law’s lake home just chillin’.   My kids were amazing.  My daughter sat for 3 hours – just her and Nana – fishing on Sunday morning.  I didn’t realize she had that kind of patience in her, but the girl just loves to fish.

Someday I hope we have the great luxury of living near water.

I love this shot, you can barely see my husband carefully inspecting the hook

and my little guy drooling at the thought of actually getting to use a real fishing pole.

Controlled chaos

4 little ones fishing with hooks all on the same dock?

Yes, we’re nutty

I’m sorry, this blog has been sitting, waiting for me to refresh it with some new and exciting news, but none the less, I’ve got nothin’. I am in a slump, a funk, feeling a bit blah.  This past week has been one sleepless nights and too much TV as both my kids had the flu.  Mother nature has been cruel to us lately, dropping more snow after it had all melted away.  I’m tired.  Tired of the cold.  Tired of the snow.  Tired of the illnesses. Just plain tired.  I need spring to be here both mentally and physically… to start anew.  I need change.
We were able to gather up enough strength on Friday to dye some eggs and decorate them.  The Easter bunny DID manage to make it to our house through all the snow and we also spent part of the day with my brother’s family.  It sure is much easier hunting for easter eggs in the white snow!!   I guess that’s a positive way to look at it.   It was also good just to get out of the house.   We all needed a change of scenery.
As far as my Etsy shop… I just finished a custom order and sold two other Chinese-take out boxes last week.  So, there were some definite bright spots to my week.
Come and visit, Mr. Spring… Oh, and please stay awhile … and bring your cousin Mr. Summer too!?!

Here are a few new things you’ll soon see in my Etsy shop .  Hopefully they will all be there by the end of the week.  These new items are fun and brightly colored for Spring/Summer!

I just thought I’d shake things up a bit… or at least make them more consistent across the board.  Although, I loved my “sadie sews” header (Sadie being one of my many given nicknames) , I just thought changing it to Luna Feliz – the name of my Etsy business would seem less complicated.   Read the rest of this entry »

The ad for my little Etsy shop is finished and already set!  Yay! Check it out here at Little Wedding Guide  I’ve added a customizing option for customers that might want to use a special fabric/ribbons for take-outs.

it’s been awhile… hey, i’ve been crafting!  So anyway… started on Etsy on Jan. 23rd and not one sale yet.  Maybe I need to work on my “tags”  or the keywords you can put in every time you list a new item.    Here are a few pictures of my products.. I would love ANY comments on tag words that you think would be appropriate.  Because i’m thinking maybe I’m just not reaching the correct target market with my product… hmmm..  let’s discuss….  What words come to mind when you see this lovely  take-out box below?  Or, what words would you use if you were doing a search to find it online?    take your time…  Read the rest of this entry »
